Grasmeier Business Services, LLC provides tax, accounting and consulting services to individuals and businesses. GBS specializes in international tax, bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax reporting, start-up consulting and assurance services. Marie Grasmeier, owner of GBS has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida since 2001. Prior to founding GBS, she held the position of Tax Manager for a National CPA firm.

Marie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a Certified Management Accountant, licensed through the Institute of Certified Management Accountants. The CMA designation is an internationally recognized designation for professionals specializing in internal reporting, analysis and optimization for businesses.

Marie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University, magna cum laude, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Tax from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma.

Marie is Treasurer and Board Member of several not-for-profit and civic organizations and volunteers in the local community. She is also a graduate of Leadership Lee County.

In January 2010, Marie was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Florida Small Business Network meeting in conjunction with the National American Small Business Development Center annual conference. (LINK).
